This referral-based, two-day program uses technology, provides hands-on budget development skills, and teaches learners how to make decisions that incorporate nutrition and/or swap out expensive ingredients for cheaper ones. Groceries are subsidized so participants can leave with 3-4 meals at half the cost.

Bruderheim Youth CentreHeld upstairs in the Arena, open Tuesday and Thursday evenings. 4:30–6:30 all ages, 6:30–8:30 Junior and Senior High students. Drop In Gym NightsDrop in at the Bruderheim School Monday evenings from 4:00–7:00 for all ages.
Gymboree Drop In Play ProgramTHIS PROGRAM IS FINISHED FOR THE SEASON. Gymboree is a fun, free & educational program for parents with children ages newborn to 5 years old. Have fun TOGETHER in this parent-child movement program that helps kids use large and small muscles, learn about how things work, and burn up some ENERGY! Join us for games, faith, songs, crafts, snack and FUN! Wednesdays at the Bruderheim Community Church at 4:30 pm. For children from K—Gr. 6. Questions: call 780-796-3775. Junior Youth VOLUNTEERS!! Calling all the young at heart! We need senior high to adult aged volunteers. Please consider serving our churches biggest outreach program in Bruderheim. FLAPP Program (formerly PAL Program)
You will learn fun things to do with your pre-school children that you can do at home. Runs weekly on Mondays from 9:30 to noon. Registration required. Please call (780) 895-2874 or toll free at 1-877-895-2233. FLEX Program (Boys, Gr. 5 & 6)If you would like to try some sports, cooking, activities, and fun games, this is the place for you! FLEX is a fun program for guys designed to encourage healthy self-image and healthy life choices. It promotes physical and mental health. This program is available in Bruderheim if there is enough interest (min. of 6 participants is required). The program runs weekly for 10 week sessions once per season. Next commencement date TBA. Please contact 1-877-895-2233 if this program is of interest to your child. Parents & Tots ProgramThis FREE program provides support and resources to parents and caregivers with children 0-6. Come out and enjoy meeting other parents in your community! Wednesday mornings from 9:30am-11:30am at the Karol Maschmeyer Arena. Starts September 19th. Parents and Tots is provided free of charge with registration available on site each week. Participants are welcome to register or attend on a drop in basis. Seniors Property Tax Deferral ProgramThe Seniors Property Tax Deferral Program (SPTDP) allows eligible senior homeowners to defer all or part of their property taxes through a low-interest home equity loan with the Alberta government. Visit the Alberta Seniors and Housing website for more information. Seniors Recycling Discount ProgramThe Town of Bruderheim offers a seniors discount on recycling services. If you are a senior and would like to apply for this discount, please visit our Forms Page to find and fill out a Seniors Recycling Discount Form and drop by the Town Office (5017 Queen Street). Please bring your identification.
